The Middlesex Table Tennis Association was formed in 1947 with the aim of promoting and managing table tennis in Middlesex. The first Chairman was R C Mortlake Mann, with Sir Arthur Elvin MBE as President and G R Harrower as General Secretary & Treasurer.
 
Mr Mann's successor was E (Ted) R Connell who was Chairman until 1975. He was followed by G James (1975 - 1983). Michael Close is the current incumbent and has been Chairman since 1983 and also General Secretary since 2005
 
Sir Authur Elvin was succeeded by Sir S Graham Rowlandson MBE in 1957 and remained President until 1986. The post was vacant for the next 2 years and Russell Grant was the next President (1986-2000). The current President is Derek Burridge who has been in post since 2000.
 
In 1953 the posts of General Secretary & Treasurer were made individual ones and C Davidson was the next General Secretary and D Peter Lowen was Treasurer. The follwoing year the posts amalgamated with D Peter Lowen in post until 1958 after which Iris Moss took up the reins and tirelessly continued until 2005. Charles Ho is the current Treasurer.
